Minto turns down property title request
Councillors here are following the lead of their public works committee, which recommended denying a grant title to a property next to Lot 32 in Harriston, through which the Maitland River flows.
The minutes of the public works committee stated the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority stated it was an unusual request that would require additional research and have potential financial implications.
Part of the reasons behind its recommendation was that such a move would be of no benefit to the municipality, and could result in further requests.
