Minto supports neighbour's health care bid
Councillors here endorsed in principle, North Wellington Health Care’s application for a planning and design grant for Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest.
The grant is part of the process for a redevelopment of emergency and ambulatory care facilities.
Minto’s motion noted an expansion is required.
Deputy-mayor Judy Dirksen said the issue is at that point “where a letter of support from our municipality would assist in getting the grant.”
She said Perth-Wellington MPP John Wilkinson is behind the project.
Councillor David Turton said Minto’s and the Mount Forest hospital work well together and “any help we can give the Louise Marshall Hospital, we certainly should.”
