Minto road allowance to be sold
Councillors here agree with its public works committee recommendation that the town proceed to close a road allowance located adjacent to 6175 Minto-Normanby Townline Concession 19, Part Lot 18. Further the road allowance is to be sold to Anne and Brian Darroch for the costs incurred by the municipality to complete that transaction.
Councillor Rick Hembly said apparently the owner across the road in Normanby Township already owns 33 feet (one half of the road allowance). “We can’t really build a road on [our] 33 feet,” Hembly said.
