Minto business achievement awards to be presented May 8 at Pike Lake

The Minto Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the achievements of the local business community as well as non-profit organizations in the community on  May 8 at 6pm at Pike Lake Golf Centre.

The event will include the presentation of the Harriston Home Hardware Outstanding Organization Award for a not-for-profit organization operating in Minto or serving the community that has distinguished itself in providing outstanding service.

The following awards for Minto businesses and businesses serving the community will also be presented:

- OSiM Interactive Business Community Involvement Award, for engaging in community activities and demonstrating good social responsibility and corporate citizenship;

- Wightman Telecom Business Innovation Award, presented to a business which has demonstrated innovation in business practices, environmental stewardship, products or services; and

- the McLaughlin Financial Group Employer Excellence Award for demonstrated excellence in employee relations and creating a positive work environment.
