Minor damage reported in area barn fire
The Rockwood Fire Department was called to a reported barn fire on Jones Baseline on Aug. 11 at about 3:35pm.
“A straw bale adjacent to the barn had combusted and some barn boards caught fire,” deputy fire chief Jim Petrik said in an email.
“The homeowners noticed it quickly and moved the bale and started extinguishing the fire.”
Firefighters extinguished hot spots and Petrik said there was no significant damage to the barn.
