Minor Bantam AE leading playoffs

On Jan. 12, Centre Wellington Fusion Minor Bantam AE travelled to Flamborough for their second playoff game.

Flamborough opened the scoring but Fusion answered right back. The game really opened up in the second with Fusion scoring three times. Fusion was too strong this night and skated away with a 6-3 victory. Julian Austin captured the win in net.

Points for Fusion: Levi Humber (1G), Justin Snowe (1G), Brad Parkinson (1A), Daniel Newton (1G), Carter Hyndman (1A), Ryan Gemin (1G, 1A), Ty Needham (1A), Ethan Kosempel (1G), Eric Feltham (1G), Koen Ashdown (1A).

On Jan. 16, Fusion hosted Stoney Creek. Fusion never took their foot off the gas in this game outshooting their opponent 57 to 19. Jacob Killinger held Stoney Creek to just one goal.

Points for Fusion: Newton (1G), Brandon Page (1A), Justine Snowe (1A), Gemin (2G,1A), Kosempel (2A), Needham (2G,2A), Humber (1A).

On Jan. 21, Flamborough visited the Fusion barn. Fusion took the lead quickly in the first with two goals and never looked back.

The defense was exceptional and only allowed 11 shots to get through to netminder Julian Austin.  Fusion won the game 5-1.

Points came from Koen Ashdown with (2G), Brad Parkinson (1G,2A), Carter Hyndman (2A), Connor MacMillan (2A), Ryan Gemin (1A).

On Jan. 23, Fusion headed to Milton. At the end of the first period it remained scoreless. In the second, Fusion started to put pressure on the Milton net minder filling the net six times. Fusion remained strong allowing only 11 shots on our tender. The game ended in a 6-1 win.

Points for Fusion included Eric Feltham (2G,1A), Koen Ashdown (3A), Carter Hyndman (1G,2A), Ty Needham (2G), Levi Humber (1A), Ryan Gemin (2A), Daniel Newton (1G), Brad Parkinson (1A), Connor MacMillan (1A). Jacob Killinger got the win in net.
