Medieval feast returns Nov. 3

Blackthorn Productions of Guelph is hosting its third Crusader’s Feast, a mediaeval dinner theatre experience, on Nov. 3 at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.

The year is 1195.  King Richard the Lionhearted  is the guest of honour at the castle of Lord Aelric, Earl of Blackthorn, who has planned a great feast in the King’s honour with many local lords and ladies in attendance.

The feast provides a compelling story, authentic period costumes, masterful sword-fighting, mediaeval music and dance, and an exotic and delicious mediaeval banquet.

Presented by Blackthorn Productions of Guelph, the concept was written by Walsh and Richard Crossman, and is directed by Dwayne Mailman.

Founded in 2004, Blackthorn Productions is a Guelph-based company that specializes in mediaeval education and entertainment.

The Crusader’s Feast III takes place Nov. 3 at 5pm at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex, 550 Belsyde Avenue.

The feast begins at 6:30pm and includes two courses with six dishes each, plus desert. There will be a cash bar and merchants tables.

Admission is $65. A group rate for 10 or more is available. Tickets are available from Blackthorn Productions by calling (289) 244-7922 or by e-mailing tickets@blackthornproductions.ca and also through PayPal at www.blackthornproductions.ca.
