McKinnon, (Abbie) Eleanor Jean; Peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Abbie was born in Welland and resided with her siblings Fred, special sister Sandra and brother Bruce. Predeceased by brothers Daniel and Charles. Her young adult life was spent in Smiths Falls, where her children Lynn and Tom were born. Thirty years ago she met and married her best friend John McKinnon of Hillsburgh. Cherished Grandmother of Benjamin and Samantha. Abbie will be sadly missed by all her extended family and friends. The family will receive friends for Visitation at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main St. South, Erin on Thursday, November 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Hillsburgh, with Rev. Wayne Maddock officiating. Interment Coningsby Cemetery. If desired, donations to The Special Friends Club (P.O. Box 248, Hillsburgh ON N0B 1Z0) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
