McFadden, James “Jim” Patrick; of Waterloo and formerly of Chesley, passed away suddenly at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday, June 3, 2012 in his 73rd year. Dear father of Dan and his wife Kim of Kincardine, Brenda and her husband Serge Melanson of Cocagne NB, and Kevin of Grand Bend. Cherished “Papa” of Madison, Garrett and Bryce McFadden, Veronique and Emily Melanson and Troy McFadden. Sadly missed by his sister Lorraine McFadden of Dundas, his brother Jack and his wife Marlene McFadden of Guelph, and his sister Bonnie and her husband Paul Hughes of Harriston. Fondly remembered by his friend Shirley Rahman and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Marie (Kelly) McFadden. Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 7 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass was celebrated on Friday, June 8 at 11am at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Elora with Fr. Tom Moisan presiding. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin, Garrett and John McFadden and Paul, Mike and Tom Hughes. Flowerbearers were Madison, Bryce and Troy McFadden and Veronique Melanson. Interment Sts. Mary and Joseph Cemetery, Elora. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Chesley Hospital Foundation or the charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
