McDougall, Lyle

; Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Walda (nee Podasky). He will also be missed by his sister-in-law Jacqueline (Robert) Fraser and his nephews Brendan and Gregory. He started his teaching career with the Niagara South Board of Education and taught at Westlane Secondary School, Niagara Falls, until his retirement in 1988. He was a dedicated member of the Historical Automobile Society of St. Catharines, spending many hours restoring his historical cars and enjoying his many car tours with fellow association members. Special thanks to Dr. Malcolm, Dr. Nolan, Chaplain Doug Jones and the nurses of the S.C.G.H. ICU for their care and compassion. Arrangements entrusted to GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, (905) 937-4444. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life and private family inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the St. Catharines General Hospital - ICU fifth floor would be appreciated by his family.
