McCRAE, Betty June – Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Sunday, October 2, 2016 with family by her side.  Betty (nee Sharer) McCrae was the devoted wife of the late Harvey McCrae (2013). Loving mother of Shelley McCrae and Alan McCrae (Tessa Sven). Survived by sister, Linda Peters and by brother, George Sharer. Betty will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, loving friends and dear neighbours. She will be sadly missed by her family pets, Sammy and Zsa Zsa. Betty was an amazing mother and was always thinking of others. As a young girl she enjoyed time spent on her family farm and always had a love of all animals. She cherished many years at the cottage with her family. She enjoyed listening to country music, dancing, baseball, fishing, ice-cream and sweets. Arrangements entrusted to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Betty’s Life was held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. at The Auditorium at the OAC Arboretum Centre, College Ave. E., Guelph (uoguelph.ca/arboretum). As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Guelph Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
