McCabe appointed alternate county representative
KENILWORTH - Councillor Steve McCabe is Wellington North’s alternate upper tier representative should Mayor Andy Lennox be unable to attend a meeting of Wellington County council.
The appointment was adopted by council without further discussion at its Feb. 27 meeting.
The appointment comes in the wake of Bill 68 - Modernizing Municipal Legislation Act - which allows a municipality to appoint an alternate to represent it at county meetings.
Wellington North’s policy does not provide financial compensation for this role.
