McBRIDE, James Robertson Gilchrist; Passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the age of 65 at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus. Jim is survived by his long-time companion Margaret Patey. He was the loving father of 3 children Robin (Anthony) McBride, Jamie (George) Koutelias, and Billy (Elaine) McBride, as well as 9 grandchildren, Grayson, Gavin, Marcas, Bailey, Chase, Rhys, Sofia, Ben & Chloe. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and the abundance of friends he made throughout his life. The family would like to thank all of his caregiving team. Dr. Norrie, Dr. Lund, Allison and Natasha, thank you for the compassionate tender care and support you provided during his brief illness.At Jim’s request there will be a Celebration of Life gathering at Maple Leaf Acres, Fergus in the Adult Hall on October 25, 2014 between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre in Kitchener or the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation in Fergus.
