McArthur, Douglas John; (McArthur Livestock Trucking) Peacefully at Dufferin Oaks in Shelburne on Tuesday, December 25, 2007. Doug McArthur of Erin in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Joan Ridler. Loving father of Debbie Kruger and her husband Wayne of Orangeville, Kevin McArthur and his wife Diane of Orangeville, and Shelly Ferguson and her husband Dan of Erin. Cherished Grandpa Doug of Rusty, Meghan, Warren, Christa, Leon, Michelle, Sean, Laura, and Emily. Great Grandpa Doug of Zackary and Zoey. Dear brother of Jim and Karen, George and Gwen, Gord and Reta, Roy and Elfi, Helen Ruud, and Don, and Joyce Doucette and John. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Mabel McArthur, and sister-in-law Marilyn McArthur. Doug will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and friends. Resting at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main Street, South, Erin. Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 29th, at 11:00am with Dr. Ronald S. Kelly officiating. Spring Interment, Erin Union Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday evening from 7-9pm and Friday from 3-5 and 7-9pm.
