McAlpine, Donna Mae (Hopper); Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family after a brief illness on April 5 in Fergus, Ontario. Aged 83, beloved wife for 59 years of Don; loved mother of Andrew (Kathleen Dawson), Rory (Rebecca) and Reid (Susan Steele); loving grandmother of Cameron, Amanda, Anna, Alec, Blair and Leah. Survived by Sister Carol Anderson and predeceased by brother Keith and twin brother Dean. An avid sewer, knitter, crafter and bridge player. Award-winning quilter, talented gardener and interior designer, and fierce Scrabble competitor.  A devoted servant of God, Donna will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Friends and family were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Tuesday, April 9th, 2013 from 7:00-9:00pm. A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 12:00pm at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George Street West, Fergus. Memorial donations may be made to the H.E.A.R.T.S.
