Mayor's golf tourney will benefit local groups
Four local organizations will benefit from the proceeds of the 2015 Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament here.
The town has announced the Clifford Homecoming Committee, Palmerston Junior Broomball and farmers markets in Harriston and Palmerston will share in the profits from the fifth annual tournament, set for Aug. 13 at Pike Lake Golf Centre.
Over the past four years, the tournament has raised $32,000 for local groups.
Funds from the event have gone to planter baskets and beautifying Minto downtowns, buying new baseball equipment and assisting organizations with financial expenses to run programs in the community.
