Mayor pleased with Fergus library progress

Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj recently spoke of her chance to tour the Fergus library currently undergoing a dramatic renovation, restoration and addition.

“That was another interesting opportunity to see how that project is progressing,” Ross-Zuj said.

Prior to the meeting, the mayor spoke of the building being stripped down to the stone walls and of the remaining section of the tin ceiling. She said the intent is to replicate the tin ceiling.

“You can see it in the wood where the tin ceiling was,” she said. “The thickness of the walls is huge, it was really cool.”

Ross-Zuj said it was interesting to see all the trades working together to help the project take shape.
