MATTHEWS, Lyle Hubert - 1932-2017. Passed away peacefully on February 11, 2017 at Wellington Terrace in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Doris Matthews (Tuck). Lyle will be missed by sister Lois Dobbie, sisters-in-law Jeannette Witt, Marilyn MacQuarrie (Jim), Joan Snyder (Craig) and brothers-in-law Jim Tuck and Lloyd Tuck (Judy). He will be forever missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brother-in-law Robert Dobbie and the Tuck family in-laws. Lyle had a special love of horses, owning and racing them. He also had a special love for their dog “Teddy.” Family and friends visited at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus on Tuesday, February 14 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Lyle’s memory to the Melville United Church, Groves Community Hospital or the Fergus Curling Club.
