MATTHEWS, Ida Elizabeth (nee Archibald) - Of Rockwood, passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Don Matthews. Loved mother of Randy, Terry (Marlene) and Brad (Heather Armstrong-Matthews). Loving grandmother of Taylor, Stephanie and Mackenzie. Dear sister of Joan McCrystal (Fred Gordon). Predeceased by brothers Fred and Don Archibald. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
