Martin, Erma; Peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, September 13, 2008, in her 70th year. Beloved wife of the Reverend Dr. Brice Martin of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Arthur and Gordonville. Dear mother of Anna Martin and her partner Emily of Toronto and David Martin and his wife Sara of Waterloo. Survived by brother Allan (Helena) Hoffman of Elmira, Marie (Garry) Martin of Bancroft, Roy (Sandra) Hoffman of Montreal, Paul (Evelyn) Hoffman of Heidelberg, and Reta (Stewart) Malloy of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Israel and Anna Hoffman and her nephew Rodney Hoffman. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St. Arthur, on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 2:30-4:30pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service was held from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 149 Frederick St. Arthur, on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. Following a funeral luncheon at St. John Parish Centre, Arthur, a committal service was held in Hawkesville Cemetery, Hawkesville, at 3pm. Remembrances to St. Andrews Church, Arthur or Gordonville, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
