Mapleton-Minto 81's take first game of north final over Rocks
The Mapleton-Minto 81’s outscored the Elora Rocks 7-2 to take the first game of a their WOAA Senior ‘AA’ north division championship on home ice.
The series continues with two games this weekend, March 21 in Elora at 8:30pm and March 22 in Palmerston at 7pm. Future games are scheduled for March 28 in Elora at 8:30pm, March 29 in Palmerston at 7:30pm and March 30 in Elora at 7pm.
The 81’s and Rocks finished 1-2 in the north division during regular season play.
The 81’s edged out the Rocks by a single point for the division title and held a 3-1-0 edge in regular season play.
The winner will face the victor of the south division semi-final series between the Tillsonburg Thunder and the Komoka Classics. Komoka holds a 1-0 lead in that series.
