Mapleton firefighters host community breakfast
Mapleton Township Fire Rescue will host a Fire Prevention Day breakfast at the PMD Arena on Oct. 19.
The event runs from 7 to 11am and will feature a breakfast menu of pancakes, hash browns, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, coffee and juice. Eggs for the meal have been donated by Gray Ridge Farms.
Visitors may check out a display of fire trucks by Mapleton Fire Rescue, as well as displays by several other exhibitors. A fire extinguisher simulator, smoke house and appearance by Sparky the Fire Dog are planned.
Donations are accepted for breakfast and a contribution will be made to the fight against Multiple Sclerosis and Muscular Dystrophy.
