Mapleton boys help Woolwich team to victory
MAPLETON – Mapleton residents Emmett Colwill and Jaxon McGuire are celebrating an amazing season with their U15 ‘A’ Woolwich Wildcat team. The team had an undefeated season in all major tournaments, including the Regional Silver Stick, International Silver Stick in Port Huron, Tri County, OMHA and, most recently, the Ontario Hockey Federation Tournament in Orillia. The team was named #1 in Ontario after a 3-0 win against the Woodstock Navy Jets. Both McGuire and Colwill received game MVP status, while assistant captain Colwill was also named tournament MVP.
