GUELPH – A Brampton man faces assault and dangerous driving charges after another man was repeatedly hit by a car during a disturbance.
Guelph Police say officers were called to the area of Glasgow Street North and Essex Street on the afternoon of Sept. 26.
“Investigation revealed a man had left a house with property that didn’t belong to him. Another man tried to stop him and was twice struck by the subject’s car,” police stated in a Sept. 29 press release.
“The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention. The parties are known to each other”
A 30-year-old Brampton man was charged with assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, assault and theft (under $5,000). He was held for a bail hearing.
