Magic show will aid local foodbank

Illusionist Claude Haggerty will be mak­ing something appear at the local food bank next month.

Instead of vanishing, Hag­gerty will do a free show for donations to the food bank in Centre Wellington. He is working with real estate agent Clair Welsh and will present two shows on May 28 at Centre Welling­ton District High School. After that, the illusionist will be doing an evening show for the community to collect the food.

The week prior to the event, Haggerty will be visiting local elementary schools. His show offers not only entertainment but also teaches children to learn to follow their dreams.

“I have raised just over $5-million for charity,” he said, add­ing the shows at the high school will raise cash for the student council.
