MacKenzie, Lois, Mary (nee: Beams); Peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on September 7, 2012, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Don MacKenzie (1990). Will be dearly missed by her children Don (Debbie), Janet, Garry and Brian (Susan). Special Grammie to Robbie, Gary, Brett, Reghan, Greg, Jeffrey, Cathy, Brandon, Spencer, Taylor, Sheri, Mandy and Stacy. Great Grammie to 22 great grandchildren. Survived by her brother Donald & sister Sheila and sisters-in-law Melba Beams and Lanore and Betty MacKenzie and brother-in-law Harry Prisille. Predeceased by her brother Jack “Bud” Beams and her sisters Joan Prisille, Shirley Embury and 4 infant siblings. Will also be missed by many other family members and friends. Lois loved the simple things in life like going for drives to look at wildflowers, writing, painting and loved animals and nature. Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. East in Elora, on Monday, September 10th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service was conducted from Knox Presbyterian Church, 51 Church St. in Elora, on Tuesday, September 11th at 11:00am.
