LYONS, Roy Grills. Passed away peacefully at his home in St Jacobs, on Friday, May 5, 2017, in his 95th year. Roy was predeceased by his first wife Frances Helena (Cripps) Lyons (1974). Married to his second wife Annie Mary (Richardson) Lyons for 35 years. Lovingly remembered by his son John and Doris Lyons of Terrace Bay, daughter Marjorie and Jerry Pachniosky of Woodstock, son Charles and Annette Lyons of Greenville, South Carolina, daughter Marion and Larry Pierce of Winterbourne, and son Wallace and Darlene Lyons of St Jacobs. Roy had 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents William Edgar Lyons and Elizabeth Jane (Grills) Lyons, sisters Ruth (Lyons) Stephenson and Verna Lyons, and brother James Lyons. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Elmira Union Cemetery.
