Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation to ‘light up’ hospital until Dec. 23

MOUNT FOREST – The Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation (LMHF) is hoping to once again make things a little brighter for the staff and patients who will be spending time at the hospital this holiday season.

The third annual “Let’s Light Up Louise Marshall Hospital” campaign is running until Dec. 23, and for a minimum donation of $20, supporters can choose an ornament, include a special message, and add it to one of the Christmas trees or wreaths placed around the hospital.

The hope is to bring some warmth and festivity to the hospital, officials state in a press release.

LMHF executive director Amy Van Huss said, “Spending time in the hospital at this time of year can be difficult for anyone. We’re hoping to bring a little comfort and cheer to the halls for those of us who do need to be here over the holidays.”

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be directed towards capital project and equipment needs at Louise Marshall Hospital.

All donations of $20 or more are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

Ornaments can be sponsored by stopping in at the foundation office located at Louise Marshall Hospital, or by visiting Scotiabank Mount Forest, which has partnered with the LMHF for a third year in support of this fundraiser.

Ornaments may also be sponsored by contacting the LMHF office at 519-323-2210 x.77711 or avanhuss@louisemarshallfoundation.ca, or by visiting the website at louisemarshallfoundation.ca.

“This is our third year running this campaign, and it grows a little each time,” said Van Huss.

“We had some really beautiful messages attached to the ornaments last year, and we’re looking forward to reading some equally beautiful messages this year.”
