LOCKHART, Eric Robert, July 31,1936 - June 2, 2016; Peacefully with his family at Groves Memorial in his 80th year. Loving Dad of Nancy Ward (Wally), Debbie Lockhart (Jeremy Bell), Lori Lockhart (James Uniac), Cindy Albrecht, Denise Caudle. Beloved Grandpa to Eric Cunningham & Joe Cunningham, Travis Caudle, Jessi Caudle, Tyler Nuttley, Hilliary Uniac & Cameron Uniac, Lex Albrecht (Michael Bolduc), Max Albrecht & Elliat Albrecht (Amit Sharon). Husband of Violet (nee Livingston).Big brother to Joyce Foley, Barbara Clements, Donna Burns (Reg), Patricia Lockhart (Alfred Pilon), Jim Lockhart (Luella), Sylvia Turrill (Art). Predeceased by his parents Robert Lockhart and Vernah Lockhart (nee McFadden) and by his brother Albert Lockhart. Eric will be dearly missed by many friends that appreciated his helpful, dependable and giving nature. He will long be remembered by all that knew him for his playful humour, big smile and humble manner. Admired for his strength, dignity and work ethic, loyalty and love of family; Eric was never idle finding joy in being busy with gardening, wood working and lending a hand once retired from a long career in excavation and farming. Cremation has taken place; a ‘Celebration of Life’ and interment to be held at a future date. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Norrie & Dr. Robichaud and the 2nd floor Nursing Staff for their compassionate care.
