Locals do well in national Tae Kwon-Do tournament

A Team From Chung Oh’s School of Tae Kwon-Do in Fergus performed well at the 39th annual Canadian Tae Kwon Moo Do Championships here on May 12.

The Fergus junior team of Joey Brisson and McKenna Black, led by head instructor Chris Mulligan, placed in the top three in all events it entered. Joey Brisson, 10, of Fergus, competed in the junior boys division, earning  first place in patterns (forms) and a third place in sparring.

McKenna Black, 7, of Fergus, was in the junior girls division for her patterns and was first overall. For sparring Black competed in the junior boys division (ages 7 to 9) and finished third.
