The Fergus club, was formed in 1834 and is the oldest continuously operated curling club in Ontario. It holds many traditions of a Scottish curling club, such as piping the curlers onto the ice at the beginning of their first game. This year Senator Bob Black, whose family started the club, was on hand to start all games with a toast to the curlers and John K. Campbell gave the address to the haggis.
