Local Liberals set to chose candidate

The nomination meeting to select the next federal Liberal candidate for Perth-Wellington will be held at 7pm on Nov. 9 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Stratford, located at 207 St. Patrick Street.

The meeting will begin with speeches from the two candidates at 7pm, followed by voting, which will run until 9pm.

The candidates are Stephen McCotter, a St. Marys lawyer and town councillor, and Colin Thomson, a St. Marys businessman.

Members of the Liberal Party of Canada that reside in Perth-Wellington are eligible to vote.

Perth-Wellington Conservatives recently selected  John Nater of Mitchell over Kevin Steven of Stratford at a Nov. 8 meeting in Listowel.
