Local events recognized at Ontario festival awards
Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) announced on March 4 that Hillside Festival in Guelph-Eramosa Township won an Achievement Award for the Best Greening of a Festival or event for $500,000 or more.
Hillside Festival was in the company of 17 other Achievement Award winners that nominators believed stood out in 2015.
The Achievement Awards were handed out on March 4 during FEO’s Annual Conference Dare 2B Different.
The Top 100 festivals and events in Ontario were also named at the annual conference - and the Mount Forest Firework Festival again took one of the spots.
Submissions from FEO members were received for consideration in the fall of 2015 and were judged by an independent panel of judges.
Festivals and events of all kinds from every corner of Ontario were represented in the submissions – from community festivals to internationally recognized events.
