Local artist paints 'Fall at Fergies'
FERGUS – This new painting is by Fergus artist Sonia Day. It joins two others hanging on the walls of the popular food emporium in downtown Fergus. They depict comings and goings at the store winter and summer.
Day’s acrylics and watercolours are now on sale at Local Pieces Gallery on St. Andrew Street West near Highway 6. Fergies (located at 250 St. Andrew St. E.) is hosting an event from 4 to 6pm on Nov. 30, during which Day said she will “be on hand to say a few words about why I’m a fan of this store - and of its plucky owner, Miriam Foell.” Free refreshments will be served.
