Local actors, singer bring city history to life

Tickets are selling quickly for Guelph Mu­seum’s annual Neighbourhood Spirit Walk on Sept. 7.

Explore the neighbourhood around Guelph Civic Museum and discover more about peo­ple who once lived and worked in the community. From the start of the walking tour at the museum to the finish at the Church of Our Lady Immacu­late, participants will explore Guelph history through vignet­tes and a look at the archi­tectural heritage.

Starting at 12:30pm, tours leave the museum every 20 minutes. The final tour leaves at 2:30pm. Each tour lasts ap­proxi­mately 90 minutes, fin­ishing at the church. At the conclusion, participants have the opportunity to tour the church.

There are stairs and some steep inclines to negotiate on this year’s tour. Tickets are $10 per person and are on sale now. Purchase tickets in advance through the River Run Centre box office at 519-763-3000 or toll free 1-877-520-2408.
