Lions host free breakfast May 4
The local Lions Club is hosting a free breakfast to raise diabetes awareness.
The breakfast will be held on May 4 from 9 to 11am at the Rockmosa Community Centre and is free, said Scott Jamieson of the Rockwood and District Lions Club.
“The whole idea of the breakfast is for the public to bring their questions and to have experts answer them or if they or a loved one have diabetes they will be able to learn more from our speakers,” he said. “Diabetes, especially juvenile diabetes, is rampant in Canada and will only get worse without a change in our dietary habits.”
Donations are not required and the breakfast is free, Jamieson added.
