Legion public speaking contest set for Feb. 8

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 234, has announced the re-commencement of its annual public speaking contest.

The event will be held on Feb. 8, and in case of inclement weather it will be rescheduled for Feb. 22.

Registration and confirmation will begin at 12:30pm, and the speaking contest starts at 1pm.

The Legion encourages all students enrolled in Guelph area schools to consider entering this contest, as publish speaking helps build self-confidence.

Have registration forms in to the Branch by Feb. 1, either by fax, mail, or hand delivery.

Registration forms (if not provided at the school) are available at the Branch on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 5pm or online at www.on.legion.ca under Youth Programs.
