Local residents and visitors to Harriston Heritage Days can start their day off with a hearty breakfast at the local Legion branch on Aug. 24.

The breakfast will feature scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, hash browns, bacon, toast, juice and coffee – all you can eat – for $9.

Flo Van Meer of Branch 296 says the breakfast will be this year’s primary fundraiser for the Legion.

“This year we decided to do the breakfast along with the Heritage Days,” said Van Meer, who urged everyone attending to “come on in and fill up for the day.”

The  breakfast will run from 7 to 10:30am in the upstairs auditorium. Visitors can also visit local historical society displays in the Legion’s Maple Leaf Room.

Anyone interested in helping at the breakfast or donating food items or money can contact Van Meer at 519-338-2843 or legion296@wightman.ca.
