“Leave the Streets Behind” Homeless Veterans Program receives large donation
MOUNT FOREST – Derek Moore, Royal Canadian Legion, Ontario Command provincial president and veteran banner chair for Branch #134 Mount Forest, left, received a cheque of $25,000 from Dan Bailey, owner of OnePromo/Epic RaceWear, right, for Ontario Command’s “Leave the Streets Behind” Homeless Veterans Program. The program has assisted 1,269 people in 213 different towns. Of those helped, 146 are female and 78 are entire families. The Program anticipates reaching 1,300 assisted in two to three months’ time.
