Learn to care for your land at CVC workshop
Find out how to make the most of your rural property with guidance this weekend from Credit Valley Conservation (CVC).
CVC invites landowners to participate in its upcoming Caring for Your Land and Water workshop on July 12 from 9:30am to 2:30am at the Watershed Learning Centre inside Terra Cotta Conservation Area, 14452 Winston Churchill Blvd, Halton Hills.
“These workshops are a great way for landowners to learn about rural property management,” said Mike Puddister, director of restoration and stewardship at CVC.
“We provide landowners with tools and information to make environmental improvements on their property.”
To date, more than 500 landowners have participated in CVC’s Caring for Your Land and Water and Caring for Your Horse and Farm workshops.
Each workshop explores a variety of topics including forest management, wetlands, septic systems, water wells and landscaping with native plants. Workshops are guided by Your Guide to Caring for the Credit; a handbook designed to help landowners assess their properties.
Lunch is provided at the workshop and all participants receive custom aerial photos and maps of their property.
