LDA Wellington County summer sessions have begun

WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Learning Disabilities Association (LDA) of Wellington County will be offering its 2021 summer programs.

All programs will be held virtually through Zoom.

The Social Skills program starts Aug. 3 and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am to 11:30am, until Aug. 26.

The program is available to students aged 11 to 14 with a learning disability or ADHD diagnosis and focuses on developing social and life skills, building self-esteem and confidence in social interactions.

The SOAR (transition to high school) program starts Aug. 4 and will run Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:30am to 12pm, until Aug. 30.

The program is available to students Grades 7 to 9 with a learning disability or ADHD diagnosis and focuses on increasing self-advocacy and awareness of student’s disability.

LDR will also be offering a Typing Skills program, which begins Aug. 3 and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30pm to 3pm, until Aug. 26.
