Lawn bowling tournaments in Arthur
The Arthur Lawn Bowling Club held a tournament, sponsored by the Arthur Lions Club and Boggs Financial, on July 9, with ten teams participating.
The first place team was Katie Schunecht from Chesley; second place, Bill Lehman from Walkerton; third place, Bill Dennis from Arthur; fourth place, Velda Francis from Mount Forest; and consolation, Lorne Keard from Preston.
They held another tournament, sponsored by Heritage Funeral Homes, on Aug. 7, with ten teams entered.
First place, Peggy Dixon from Arthur; second place, Glenn Dixon from Arthur; third place, Katie Schunecht from Chesley; fourth place, Helen Kelley from Mount Forest; and consolation, Charles Paquette from Dundalk.
Regular club bowling is Monday and Wednesday at 6:30pm. New bowlers are welcome.
