Lavender Day set for Kathryn’s Farm this weekend

There will be a Lavender Day at Kathryn’s Farm on July 18 from 10am to 4pm.

The day includes eco-friendly, local gift items for sale such as lavender bundles, soaps, bath salts, and more. As well, visitors can pick their own currants, lavender, flowers and veggies as available

A special feature of the day allows visitors to make  their own lavender bath salts with Deb Quaile.

Butter tarts will be available, to go or eat in the garden Guests will also hear music performed on the front porch. Admission is $5, and children enter free

Dress can be casual, field clothes, or formal (gowns, para­sols, morning coats and jeans are all welcome).

Guests are asked to bring their own lawnchair, and the event runs rain or shine

Kathryn’s Farm is located at emergency number 5479 on the Seventh Line North, at RR 4 Rockwood (just north of the Eramosa Road, two lines east of Brucedale.

Part of proceeds of the day to be donated to to El Shaddai Feeding Centre, Haiti (for children in slums of Port-au-Prince) and to SOAR, (Songbirds Only Aviation Re­habilitation), in Rockwood, which cares for injured and ill songbirds.
