Last call for registration for harness racing camp
Grand River Raceway is issuing a last call for registrations for its upcoming Standardbred Xtreme Adult Harness Racing Camp.
The camp, which runs Sept. 8 to 10, is co-hosted by the Hands On Horses Program and gives participants an in-depth look at harness racing.
The camp includes a variety of hands-on activities and classroom sessions, as well as a field trip to a breeding farm and an optional outing to Mohawk Racetrack for dinner.
It will culminate on Sept. 10 at Grand River Raceway when participants make their racing debuts, accompanied by professional drivers. The cost for the camp is $300 and is limited to eight participants. For more information visit www.handsonhorsesprogram.com.
