LaFerriere, Dawn C. Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus on Saturday March 22, 2014. Dawn LaFerriere of Elora in her 67th year, beloved wife and friend of Gord for 45 years. Loving and devoted mother of Colin and his girl friend Carol of Elora, and Corey of Fergus. Dear sister of Ruth Ann Lagassie of Guelph and Bill Purdon of Ottawa and Gary Purdon of Sudbury, Dawn is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and other family members. Dawn is predeceased by sisters Wanda and Isla and one brother Gerard. Dawn was very involved in the Elora Rocks Hockey Team as a member of their executive and also as a trainer, she also graduated from the Guelph School of Nursing in 1969 and received her Bachelor of Science of Nursing from St Frances Xavier in Nova Scotia in 2005. The family received their friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL AND CHAPEL 37, Church Street, Elora from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. Wed March 26, 2014. A Celebration of Dawn’s life was held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Jim Gordon officiating at the service.
