Stephen Kitras enters Centre Wellington mayoral race

CENTRE WELLINGTON – A race for mayor of Centre Wellington is ramping up for the October election, with a fifth candidate filing papers.
Stephen Kitras announced last week he is running for mayor.
He joins current Mayor Shawn Watters, past mayor Kelly Linton, past councillor Neil Dunsmore, and current councillor Bronwynne Wilton – all vying for the seat.
Kitras served two terms on council, once for Ward 5 in 2014 and again in 2018.
He ran unsuccessfully in the 2022 and 2025 provincial elections as the New Blue Party candidate in Wellington-Halton Hills.
The municipal election is set for Oct. 26.
