KIPPelora warming up their oven

Now that spring has finally arrived, The Kitchen in the Park Project (KIPPelora) is almost ready to fire the oven in Bissell Park.

This year KIPP will be partnering with a number of local groups and individuals to bring a variety of events to the oven. There will be guest chefs, music, and pizza nights. There will also be community bake days when the fired oven will be available, free of charge, to anyone who wishes to bake their own food.

For anyone interested in learning how to use a wood-fired oven, workshops have been scheduled on May 2 and 3. For further information about KIPPelora events, volunteering or renting the oven, please check the KIPPelora website or Facebook page, or send an email to kippelora@gmail.com.
