Kinsmen to host Tuff Truck Challenge in Harriston

The Harriston Kinsmen Club is gearing up to host the first Minto Tuff Truck Challenge.

The event will pit monster trucks and off-road vehicles and their owners against a series of obstacles set up at the Harriston arena grounds on Oct. 1.

Organizer Mike Wick said there will be prizes, donated by sponsors for top competitors. However, Wick said the  event is intended as an exhibition as well as a competition and organizers are hoping for a good crowd of both drivers and spectators.

“Just come out and have fun,” he said.

Cost to enter a vehicle is $20. For spectators admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

The event starts at 10am with a test and tune session for drivers, with the competition beginning at noon.
