King of the Pull continues at Fergus Fair

Brandon Bults of Alma and Bas Altena of Arthur are tied for the lead in the 2,200lb class with 37 points in the EkotuningCom King of the Pull competition after the Grand River Truck and Tractor Pull, Aug. 24. Third in the class is Roger McAllister of Arthur with 33 points, followed by Jon Vallance of Drayton with 29.

In the 3,200lb class, Josh Smeltzer of Fergus leads with 40 points, followed by Larry Schill of Alma with 36 points and Michelle Ray of Drayton with 33 points. Matt Ottens of Moorefield is in fourth place with 32 points.

Adam Johnson of Listowel is in first place in the 1,7500lb class with 39 points, followed by George Israel of West Montrose in second with 38 points and Devon Altenda of Arthur with 33 points.

In the Queen of the Pull class, Devon Altena and Michelle Ray are tied, both sitting in third place in their respective classes.

With the Drayton and Elora legs of the competition now complete, the contest will be decided after the final pull in the series at the Fergus Fall Fair on Sept. 13.

Pulls are sponsored by Schill Ag Partners (2,200 lb class), T. Christie Repairs and Performance (32,000lb), Pine Grove Farm Services (17,500lb) and Creek Edge Farms (King of the Pull).
