The annual KidsAbility forum on the Autism Update 2013 will take place at Bingeman’s on June 14.
The forum brings professionals, parents and students together in a day of shared learning. The goal is to work together to enhance the system of care and the inclusion of those living with a diagnosis on the autism spectrum.
Speakers include:
– Dr. Wendy Roberts. MD, FRCP, discussing “The Continuum of Care: From research to practice. What is research telling us about the systems of care?” ;
– Dr. Jonathan A. Weiss, Ph.D, presenting Mental Health and ASD: the importance of healthy relationships.
A panel for the voices of Autism includes:
– Alicia Hendley and Joel Robinoff, a local Psychologist and reporter;
– A mother and father dialogue: “Despite how well equipped you are…”;
– Carol McMullen Asperger’s and Learning Disabilities Specialist on “The role of a life coach:;
Dr. Bruno DiGravio MD, FRCPC will act as emcee and moderator.
The June 14 KidsAbility forum will run from 8:30am to 4:30pm at Bingemans Conference Centre, 425 Bingemans Centre Drive.
Admission is $99 for professionals, or $35 for parents, caregivers and students.
